This man casual look was shot under a beautiful sun in the old town of Le Mans. Called Plantagenet city-state, it is the historic medieval center of the city of Le Mans. That’s why I love this place. The city-state has characteristics that are very similar to those of Paris. There are catacombs in the basements and ruins of the Gallo-Roman baths such as the Cluny Museum.
So, we were in the remote part of the city, in the midst of vineyards like those in Montmartre.
First of all, for this casual look, I wear a slim black jeans kind of destroy style and a light black sweater. I use them as a neutral base. Then I wear a beige open shirt with a khaki jacket, associated with brown upper shoes. They are perfect with the top while remaining in the nude colors. This is what characterizes this autumnal look of city.
Moreover, these colors are great to wear in late autumn and winter because they are warm. Nothing better for those seasons where gray and cold are masters !
This look is elegant, natural and ordinary. You can just wear it as well in town as during a weekend in the countryside.
Also, I advise you to avoid wearing gray with khaki and beige. The mix of the three causes a camouflage costume effect. However it is not as pretty as a real camouflage piece. Black is perfect in this case. It is much more basic than gray and more discreet than white.
