A discovery at the top …! It is with great pleasure that I share with you my experience in one of the most sumptuous hotels of Val Thorens, the 5-star Pashmina Spa-Hotel. Located at 2,350 m at altitude in a privileged area of Val Thorens, it opens you the doors of an exceptional resort and the domain of the 3 valleys, the largest ski area in the world !
We stayed 3 days and 2 nights at Hotel Pashmina. This cozy place has 50 rooms, 2 chalets apartments and you can sleep under the stars while staying in the Igloo Pod.
First, we stayed in a Junior suite which spacious, cozy and modern. As soon as I opened the door of our suite, I felt good. Then, the suite includes a large dressing room, ambient lighting, a sitting area with a coffee machine, a bar, a superb bathroom with walk-in shower and bath… From our terrace, we had a splendid view on the slopes and the mountains. What a joy to wake up with such a landscape !
As soon as we arrived, we were charmed by the place. And we were greeted very warmly by the desk staff. The valet, smiling and very helpful, takes care of your car and your luggage. Throughout our stay, the whole team was gentle and considerate about us. I especially enjoyed a little attention, the kind of service that makes all the difference and reminds us that we are in a 5 star resort… First of all, tea and some mignardises served in the room to welcome us.
In addition to that, we also find a real quality of service with a delicate gastronomy, from breakfast to dinner. The Hotel Pashmina has 2 restaurants, “Le Base Camp” and “Les Explorateurs” and 2 Chefs, Romuald Fassenet, Best Worker of France and Chef Josselin Jeanblanc. The breakfast is worthy of a hotel of this category, the buffet is varied and gourmand. That is why I wanted to taste it all !!
For our first awakening in this luxury place, we requested that our breakfast be served to us in room at 8 o’clock on the dot: room service punctual, worthy of a palace. Muesli, gluten-free bread, scrambled eggs, fromage blanc, fruit salad, hot chocolate, tea, orange juice… We were delighted to contemplate the snowy landscapes of Val Thorens.
Then, on the 3rd floor, you will find the Pashmina Hotel’s lounge bar, elegant and comfortable, with an exceptional view of the mountain with its terrace on the edge of the slope. Loved in an armchair near the fireplace or on the terrace, we took advantage of this superb setting to do again our day skiing and book quietly.
Into the Hotel Pashmina, there are many services: a ski shop, ski lockers with direct access to the slopes, a shop/delicatessen, a covered car park and a free village shuttle.
The strongest point of the Pashmina Hotel: 500 m² of spa and wellness area. Its spa is open until 10 pm. And it includes a swimming pool, an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, a fitness area and a bar to refresh after a session of sauna or hammam. Every night, we took full advantage of this space, it was a pure moment of happiness to be in the jacuzzi under the stars and facing the slopes. A relaxing break away from the world… If you want to be more pampered, the Pashmina Spa by L’OCCITANE also offers a wide choice of face cares and massages.
To conclude, this hotel is a beautiful blend of class, luxury, modernity, refinement, elegance and excellent services… All on a human-scale. Do not miss this place during a stay in Val Thorens. It is perfect to get away from your habits and recharge your batteries with your lover or your family.
