- Hello Sylvain ! Thank you for answering our questions … Can we start with presentations ?
Hello ! Sylvain Ruffier, I am an image consultant, private stylist and blogger style.
- For a stylist and blogger, communication is truly important ! So, how are your relationships with social networks ?
That’s right ! I have been active on social networks since 2010, when I created my Blog Style Research Fb. I share in it my passion for style, in France and abroad. I also share my passion on Instagram, WeChat, YouTube and Pinterest.
I like to share my inspirations on social networks on a daily or weekly basis, that seems fundamental to our time.
- Let’s talk fashion: How would you define your style ? And what would be the must have SS17 according to you ?
I see me as a modern dandy. I like mixing styles and kinds, current and vintage clothing. I like to wear a pretty blazer, a costume jacket, plaid pants, pretty shoes, a scarf or a pretty bow tie and a clutch.
The must-have for this summer 2017, I propose for the man: a kind of british blazer with escutcheon, shorts, a white shirt, a panama, a bow tie and a pretty pair of derbies…
For women, why not a color perfecto, a solid or printed pink dress, a jumpsuit, a flat sandal with jewelry or a clutch bag ?
- What would be the biggest mistake about fashion style according to you ?
The total mono-brand and monogram look, both for man or woman, HUGS that cut the leg… The mini skirts too short and the shorts too tight. But also the hair discolored in all colors and jeans torn. On the purely male side, I would say the bun and white tennis socks with moccasins !
- What are your future projects in the short and long term ?
I will animate this month a coaching of image consulting for young people at the TF1 Foundation in partnership with the makeup company Arcancil. And I will also present a conference on fashion, art and culture in Moscow and Barcelona. In the long term, I would like to start presenting my photographic work thanks to exhibitions and books.
