Farrah Fawcett is an American actress, especially known as one of the three women in Charlie’s Angels. Her tomboy look, casual and sportswear too, is really simple to wear. But, she still had a strong charism and sex-appeal, which can melt every iced heart… <3
Here, we change a little bit our fashion era. Welcome in the middle of seventies and beginning of eighties with this incredible point… Flared pants that come back this year !
So, I propose you a real American and simple look, as Farrah Fawcett would wear. Nothing is better to go out with friends or spend a lazy Sunday.
Farrah Fawcett and her tomboy look
A Tshirt, blue jeans pants and sneakers, these are the three points to adopt the look of Farrah Fawcett !
So, I wear blue flared jeans pants (distinctive of seventies) which is fashionable this year. I bought it at Kiabi for approximately 20€. I add a simple belt with a big buckle, to underline my waist. In addition to this, I wear a Paul&Joe T-shirt with red and black dots, that I put in my pants.
Then, about shoes, I wear my famous and indestructible Stan Smith sneakers, that are fashionable for several years now. And, we can easily wear Stan Smith without looking like a hipster… But, if you want to be more feminine, some blue basic high-heels would be perfect.
Finally, about accessories, I wear a blue jean jacket from Tex with false beige fur inside. Nothing is better to get warm ! I add a blue NY cap, which actually comes from New-York City. It is useful and guards me from cold too. And, if I want to protect my blue eyes, I wear my Rayban Wayfrayer sunglasses ! About my bag, I choose my blue Longchamp pliage, with the Eiffel Tower on a side… This is my personal touch for the Parisian lover I am !
This look is really useful and you can adopt it in summer or mid-season too, without the warm jacket.
The eighties makeup of Farrah Fawcett
During this time, you should have a tanned skin, as if you spent your time on beach. Different ways to get it are possible: first, liquid or powder foundation, fake tan… Because I don’t really like this chemical processes, I use some Bronzine de Molyneux. It is a fluid makeup for body and face, without any perfume and preservatives. It is a natural makeup which can suit every types of skin (even if it contains a little of alcohol). Its apply is easy, to get a natural tanned cast, thanks to a sponge or sweet cotton. You can put it off with water. Bonus point: you can conserve it during a really long time and use it when you want !
So, I apply a little bit of Bronzine on my face, my neck and my arms. (But, yes, I am still pasty, I know…). Then, I unify my eyelid with a neutral base, to next apply a pinky shadow with glitters, and under my eye too. Don’t forget to open and highlight your look with a bright shadow right under your eyebrow.
To remember the funny side of the eighties, I decided to draw an eye doe with a silver kohl. Just add a layer of mascara on your eyelashes and we’re done !
If you want to widen your cheeks, apply a blush which looks like the Bronzine’s tone and mimic the fish ! A lot of tutorials could help us on Youtube or Pinterest if you desire 😉
And finally, Farrah Fawcett’s hairstyle…
If you have a fringe and/or a layered cut, it give an advantage to you ! But, whatever, you can’t have this hairstyle naturally… Yes, we are in eighties ! About my side, my (very) long hair can’t provide me the famous Farrah Fawcett’s brushing… So, I just try to get my hair wavy. But, don’t forget that the most important is the volume.
I employed a hair straighteners/curly iron from Calista Tools. It has a big warming brush. First, you have to detangle your hair and protect it with a styling thermal spray. Then, put your hair up on your head and make big curls, strand by strand. You will finally have a wavy hairstyle. Look at some pictures or tutorials about Farrah Fawcett’s hairstyle to help you. And do not burn you with the curly iron !
I couldn’t do big curls because of my hair, so I tried to give it a lot of volume by curled it at its root, and let it free…
